Today, Ms. Papadopoulos taught a social studies lesson about being members of a classroom community. We learned about being a good citizen, named our community "The Eagles," and had a special ceremony initiating all learners as citizens of our special community at school. We are proud to be good citizens!
The SOAR calendar in your child's folder also serves as a snack calendar. We know how much 'information overload' you are on; just wanted to make sure everyone knew that! :)
This week, we put our scientist thinking caps on and explored our five senses! With the help of our librarian, Mrs. Peebles, we experimented to better understand how we use our senses. Ask your child what he/she got to taste, touch, smell, and hear. Then, find out what your child was challenged to do without using his/her sense of sight! :)
Good news: everyone has adjusted to our busy school day! We no longer are having rest time. Please leave towels at home. :)
The fundraiser ends on September 13; please disregard the date listed on your child's calendar. Thank you!

Welcome! My name is Elizabeth McKenna, and this is my eighth year teaching kindergarten. I am thrilled to be a part of our eLc program and our FLE family! Beth Busbee is our outstanding teaching assistant who happens to be a lifelong educator herself. Thank you for allowing us to teach and learn with your child every day. We can't wait to get started!
