- Please send a towel in with your child on the first day of school. Your child will use this for a short rest time at the end of the school day. Each weekend, we will send it home to be washed and returned. **Note: We will likely have a rest time only while your child is adjusting to the length and business of our school day. We will communicate with you when you no longer need to provide a towel. Thanks!
- Please send in a change of clothes to be stored in your child’s cubby in the case of an accident. We recommend that any clothing item brought to school (jackets, sweaters, spare clothes) be labeled with your child’s name/initials on the tags.
- Feel free to send in a water bottle for your child’s use at recess, particularly while it is so hot outside!
- During the first few days, you may walk your child to the classroom. Feel free to take a picture or two and help him/her get settled, but plan on staying for only a brief period of time. This will help your child adapt to the classroom environment in a faster manner. :) We promise that we’ll take the best care of your child!!
- A note about transportation: If there is ever a change in how your child is going home one day, PLEASE note it in his/her take-home folder either on the calendar or the contact log. You can also send me an e-mail. Thanks!
- To answer questions about the carpool form, make sure you write the first and last name of your child in big writing on that purple piece of paper. You will place this in your front window of whatever vehicle is going through the carpool line. If more than one person may be picking up, take as many purple forms as you need when you drop your child off in the morning.
- Additionally, we have copies of your child's student ID number to hand you in the morning if you need it for making lunch payments/accessing other information. Thanks!

Welcome! My name is Elizabeth McKenna, and this is my eighth year teaching kindergarten. I am thrilled to be a part of our eLc program and our FLE family! Beth Busbee is our outstanding teaching assistant who happens to be a lifelong educator herself. Thank you for allowing us to teach and learn with your child every day. We can't wait to get started!
